ABOUT

Juliette Bongers is a Dutch fine art photographer whose work balances conceptual depth with visual elegance.
Educated at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, where she graduated with honors in photography in 1994, Bongers has built a distinguished career in both commercial and personal artistic practice.
After working as a professional photographer represented by UNIT Photo Agency in Amsterdam for national and international advertising agencies and magazines,
she increasingly turned toward personal, fine art work.
Today her photography is known for her layered, poetic portrayals, especially in black-and-white, exploring subtle gesture, fragmented presence, and quiet suggestion of narrative.
Juliette:“Commissioned projects are both challenging and rewarding, especially when I am given creative freedom. Alongside this, I have always pursued personal work — a space where I can shape my own visual universe.”
Bongers' images invite viewers into open reflections rather than fixed interpretations, creating a quiet conversation between the image and it's audience. Her portraits and series unfold through careful composition, attention to texture, and a nuanced use of light.

Based in Amsterdam, she continues to produce commissioned work as well as deeply personal projects that evolve her distinct visual language.
Bongers' photographs have been recognised with awards such as Gold and Members' Choice at the PANL Sony Awards and have appeared in influential photography annuals and exhibitions, further cementing her role in contemporary Dutch photography.
